As good men we want to be the best version of ourselves possible. To be high performing fathers, partners, leaders and role models. To be a man who understands his purpose and takes responsibility for not only his own wellbeing but those around him. To lead by example.
Understanding and taking care of our own needs is what must come before understanding and helping others. As good men we want to take care of our family members and to contribute to society. However, in the process we often lose sight of ourselves. We often spread ourselves too thin, and when we do take time for ourselves feelings of guilt and shame arise.
When we start to look into health and wellbeing, we become overwhelmed by fad diets, meditation techniques, breathing modalities, optimal sleep regimes, how much water to drink, mental health opinions, exercise routines, relationship frameworks…
The surfing experience gives us a direct way of getting out of our heads and into our bodies, and it is in our bodies where intuition and wisdom lives. The lessons learnt from just one 30min surfing experience will be remembered for life. The chaos and unpredictability of the ocean offers opportunities for play, challenges to be overcome, fears to be faced and depths to be explored.
This exclusive men’s retreat combines the insights gained from the Surf Mastery podcast to give you the knowledge and tools to help you achieve a state of flow through surfing, help you become a better man and ultimately improve all aspects of your life.

OCEAN SAFETY Introduction to the basics of surfing
READINESS warm ups to get the blood flowing, coached simple movement routines to prep your mind + body for the weekend
BRIEFINGS for all surfs alongside Goal + Intention Setting Coaching Sessions
DEBRIEFINGS for all surf sessions alongside discussions about the parallels between your surfing experience, + your personal relationships
BREATHING, MEDITATION, + ICE BATH SESSIONS focusing on getting out of one's head + into the body utilising neuroscience backed methods
NUTRITIOUS MEALS shared as a group

RETREAT ITINERARY
Please arrive on the Friday afternoon between 3-6pm for a 7pm dinner and weekend inauguration.
Note: Below is flexible framework. Due to the nature of group work and the fact that surfing is weather and tide dependant the timings of each module may vary.
DAY ONE
Start time - Sunrise
Early morning warm up to get the blood flowing. You will learn a simple movement routine to prep your mind and body for the day.
Light breakfast, where we discuss your morning surf and begin to dive into your goals.
Surfing experience, equipment provided.
Post-surf group project.
Lunch, discuss your morning surf sessions and the parallels between your surfing experience, and one's personal and romantic relationships.
Breathing & Meditation session focusing on getting out of one's head and into the body utilising science backed methods and tested using ice baths.
Afternoon workshop.
Group dinner and chat by the fire.
DAY TWO
Start time: 7am
Pre-surf breathing early surf together, discuss observations from yesterday.
Breakfast, deep discussion on masculinity and how it relates to relationships (ocean and people).
Hike.
Lunch.
Workshop.
Create an action plan for the upcoming week and any ongoing surfing coaching or men’s coaching in person or online.
Includes 1/2 hour of follow up coaching session.
(Finish by 3pm)
